Welcome to CPYL Baseball

Thank you for your interest in CPYL Baseball.  Our goal is to make sure that everyone involved (players/coaches/ parents) has a positive experience at CPYL and that every boy and girl who plays here develops a lifelong love for the game of baseball and one day passes that along to their children. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact any member of the CPYL Board of Directors.

Registration for the Spring 2025 season is open! Regular registration will close on December 26. We will take late registrations until age divisions are full or January 3, whichever happens first. Registration links below.

4U Baseball

Fields: Little Field
League Rules: 4U Baseball Rules
The 4-year-old league is designed to give the youngest players an opportunity to get a feel for the game. Teams will play a 6-8 game schedule, primarily on Saturdays. Scores will not be kept, however, runs will be tracked to know when to switch sides. The team managers/coaches will act as umpires. There is no intent for this to be competitive; it is merely designed to give these young players some exposure to the game. Players will receive uniforms similar to the rest of the league. T-Balls(soft) will be used for games and are provided by the league.

The Following Applies to All Divisions:

What equipment do I need?
Each baseball player requires the following equipment: glove, helmet, and bat (please make sure it's a baseball bat - refer to the league rules for kind allowed).

What gear does the league provide?

The league will provide a jersey and hat to each player. After teams are assigned, you will be told what color pants, socks and belt to buy by your Head Coach. These do not need to be new.

How often are practices?

Practice frequency and duration are determined by the Head Coach. All practices must be led by a volunteer that has passed a background check with CPYL. Each team will be assigned one practice per week at CPYL. Before games begin, there are more slots at CPYL fields for coaches to request a slot at CPYL on Mondays, Wednesdays, Friday-Sundays. After games begin, the availability is restricted to Friday night, Saturday afternoons and Sunday.

There is also a link on this page to request field time at LISD fields.

If you need assistance with scheduling more practice slots, please reach out to the POCs on this page.

Tournaments

Each season, baseball offers both our NL & AL divisions a Kick-Off Tournament & Mid-Season Tournament.   Both tournaments provide invaluable field time and experience for the players.  Please note, tournament rules differ from regular season rules.  Please visit the Baseball Tournament Rules listed under Useful Links to view those rules.  Tournament Rules can also be found here Tournament Rules.
