Each calendar year, CPYL votes on and approves a number of teams to be Select level affiliates of CPYL.  These teams are chosen during the winter off-season (applications for managers accepted between early September and mid-October), and provide a great alternative for players looking for opportunities beyond recreational play.

The program is structured according to the following guidelines:

• Annual fee per team paid to CPYL:
  
  • Covers two weekly practices either at the CPYL complex or a separate nearby facility.
  • Does not cover costs of uniforms or tournament entry fees.
• Assistance with CPYL events:
  • Skills assessments
  • Coaching clinics as needed.
• Games and Tournaments are generally played in Central Texas, but are chosen at the discretion of each team.
• Open tryouts – each team will be required to hold at least one open tryout between November and February.
• Maximum of 2 teams across all age divisions (8U through 14U).
